Terms and Conditions of Service

North Technik – Mobile Vehicle and Equipment Repair

Welcome to North Technik! We appreciate your business and are committed to delivering reliable, professional service around the clock. By booking or receiving services from North Technik ("we", "us", "our"), the client ("you", "your") agrees to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Our Commitment

We're available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Phones are monitored at all hours—we don't sleep so your machines can.

2. Service Area

North Technik proudly serves the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and surrounding municipalities, including but not limited to:

  • Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Oakville, Burlington, Milton, and more.

If you're unsure if you're in range, just call—we'll find a way.

3. Services Offered

North Technik is a mobile, full-service repair provider. Our expertise includes but is not limited to:

  • Electrical diagnostics and repairs
  • Mechanical repairs and rebuilds
  • Complete engine replacement or overhauls
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic system service
  • Body work and structural repairs
  • Preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Brake, suspension, and drivetrain repairs
  • Cooling systems, AC and heating repairs
  • Fleet servicing and mobile safety inspections

We service all makes and models of:

  • Passenger Vehicles
  • Consumer Power Equipment
  • Bus + RV
  • Heavy Equipment (excavators, loaders, etc.)

4. Booking and Appointments

  • 24/7 Dispatch: Call or email anytime to book your service.
  • Arrival Window: We give a 1-hour arrival window and always communicate any delays.
  • Site Access: Clients must ensure the vehicle or equipment is in a location accessible for repairs and safe for technicians to work.

5. Estimates and Quotes

  • Free Basic Estimates: Provided based on client info. These are non-binding and subject to change upon inspection.
  • Diagnostics: In-depth diagnostics may incur a diagnostic fee, which can be credited to the repair if approved.
  • Change in Scope: If more issues are found, a revised estimate will be provided for approval before any additional work.

6. Payment Terms

  • Methods Accepted: Credit card, debit card, e-transfer, cash, and approved company cheques.
  • Due on Completion: Payment is required immediately after service unless written terms are agreed.
  • Late Fees: Outstanding invoices past 10 business days incur a 2% interest fee, compounded monthly.
  • Ownership: All parts remain the property of North Technik until fully paid.

7. Warranty and Liability

Labour Warranty: 90-day warranty on labour, applicable only to the originally performed work.

Parts Warranty: Manufacturer warranties apply. Used parts have no warranty unless specified.

Warranty Voided If:

  • Equipment is modified, tampered with, or used improperly after service
  • Issue is unrelated or caused by other failing components
  • Neglect or damage unrelated to repair occurs

We are not liable for:

  • Downtime
  • Lost income or revenue
  • Consequential or incidental damages
  • Delays due to unavailable parts or weather conditions

8. Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide full and accurate equipment/vehicle information
  • Ensure the service site is safe and accessible
  • Do not tamper with or use the equipment during or after repair without authorization
  • Inform us of any known hazards or mechanical issues

9. Cancellations and No-Shows

  • Cancel Free: Up to 12 hours before appointment.
  • Late Cancellation/No-Show: Subject to a $99 service call fee
  • Weather Delays: May lead to rescheduling with no penalty.

10. Emergency and After-Hours Rates

Yes, we're always open—but emergencies, after-hours, or holidays may come with premium rates. All rates will be disclosed before dispatch.

11. Parts and Materials

  • We use OEM or high-quality aftermarket parts.
  • Special-order parts must be paid in advance and are non-refundable unless defective.
  • Customer-supplied parts: No warranty on parts or labour when you provide your own.

12. Environmental Responsibility

We dispose of all waste (oils, filters, scrap, etc.) responsibly and in compliance with Ontario Ministry of Environment standards. A small disposal fee may apply.

13. Licensing and Insurance

North Technik is fully licensed and insured for commercial mobile repair. Documentation is available on request.

14. Dispute Resolution

We aim to resolve issues with fairness and transparency.

If a disagreement arises:

  1. We'll try to resolve it directly.
  2. If that fails, the matter will be submitted to binding arbitration in Toronto, Ontario under the Arbitration Act, 1991.

15. Updates to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on our website and take effect immediately.
